Detailed Itinerary for the Weekend
Thursday
Check in starts at 4pm, but you can drop your bags early and explore.
Brandon and Catherine plan to be at Drift until 4:30pm welcoming guests. At 4:30pm we will be moving to the speakeasy at Baja Brewing. When you arrive just tell the host that you are with the wedding party.
We have the speakeasy reserved from 4:30pm-6:30pm and the capacity is 35 people so feel free to come and go as you please.
Everyone is on their own for dinner on Thursday. Here are some of our favorite places and various recommendations:
Jazmin’s $$ - one of our must go’s every year
Lumbre $$$$ - reservations strongly recommended
Suelo Sur $$$$ - we haven’t been but it is highly recommended
Sage $$$ - we haven’t been but it has been on my list for a few years now
Come a Casa $$ - we haven’t been - Italian
La Lupita $$ - we haven’t been but it has been on our list
Kitchen $$ - we haven’t been but it looks great
Thursdays in San Jose
Thursday nights are very busy in San Jose del Cabo. There is the art walk that is going on from 5pm-9pm on Thursday. You can’t miss it if you are wandering around town. Our hotel also has a party on Thursday nights. From 7:30pm-11:30pm it will be quite loud at our hotel and it is a popular spot for locals. There will be ear plugs in your room and additional ear plugs in the hospitality room if you are trying to sleep before the party ends.
Brandon and Catherine plan to be out-and-about in town and with everyone so feel free to connect via text or WhatsApp with us until probably about midnight. We are opting to not be hungover on a boat because the boat is not optional… (extra hangover prevention pills are in the hospitality room)
**For those of you who get boat sick, you may want to take a Bonine (in the hospitality room) on Thursday night to get it in your system early.
Friday is boat day!!
Current forecast at time of typing (1/25/26) is 78° and sunny - a beautiful boat forecast (a boat with some shade that is…)
The bus is leaving Drift at 10am to head to the marina. For those of you who are staying offsite or are not ready on time, there is a map below for the location. The boat will be leaving its dock at 11am.
We will have a professional photographer on the boat for the first half of the trip to document some of the weekend for us (and hopefully some whales…). I say that only to say, dress however you would like/be comfortable, but know that you will have your picture taken.
Lunch will be served on the boat as well as a full bar.
There are water activities like paddleboards and a float mat as well as two seawater filled plunge pools so consider a swimsuit if that is your idea of a good time. Our main goal in being on a boat in Cabo is to see whales, but after a few hours we have been known to jump in the water.
What to bring on the boat:
Sunglasses
Sunscreen
Change of clothes if you plan to get wet
We will be heading in to town after the boat (at 3pm) to bar hop. There are plenty of taxi and uber options to get you back to the hotel whenever you choose.
Brandon and Catherine will be staying in Cabo San Lucas for a few hours and finding dinner with whomever is with us. It is a very touristy area and we have our favorite spots that we will be hopping to.
Friday
Our boat is called the Pelican 17 and it goes out of the Cabo San Lucas Marina, Dock N, in front of Baja Cantina Restaurant.
